Ski Trip

Currently we are working on booking a bus to take Samaj members for Skiing at White Tail or at Ski Round Top. As soon as transportation is finalized another email will be sent out informing all members. Each member needs to pay $10 (Non-refundable) towards transportation and food expenses incurred by Samaj. As soon as more details will become available, an email will be sent to all. Please provide your names to Nipa Parikh at 301-762-6365 by February 15th. Each member planning to Ski, Snow-board or Tubing will be given preference over people just wanting to come to watch skiing. After the cut off date, any empty seat will be assigned to any member wanting to come. So please hurry up and provide your name to Nipa Parikh asap.

Annual General Body Meeting

Welcome to the Gujarati Samaj – Committee of Year 2009.

Please plan to attend the Annual General Body Meeting (AGB) (10 am to 1 pm) and 1st Executive Committee meeting (1 pm to 3 pm) held on Sunday, February 8th at Great Falls Library in Great Falls, VA.

Directions[From the Beltway(I-495)]:

Take exit 44 (old exit 13). Go west on Rt. 193, Georgetown Pike, for
6 miles. Turn right into the library parking lot after the
international Library sign. (Note: if you reach the traffic light for
Walker Road, you will need to turn around and turn Left into Library

Light Lunch will be provided to all at end of AGB meeting and before we start our 1st committee meeting.

In our committee meeting, we will go over on the upcoming Ski Trip and Drama task assignments. We will also go over on the other events that we can plan for rest of the year.

For those who are not Life Members, please plan to bring the membership form for year 2009 (Posted on www.dcsamaj.org website, click on Join) and the check of $25 payable to Gujarati Samaj of Metropolitan Washington. Thanks for your support in this matter.

I also want to take this opportunity to say “Thank You” to Year 2008 Executive Committee, Trustees and Election Committee for their Kind Help and Fabulous Support throughout the year 2008. Lots of hard work was put in to make the year Fun-filled and Successful !!!!!!!!!!

I am looking forward for the similar support for year 2009. I will be seeking your input and guidance for the events that we plan for this year.
